Scherzo Music Studio has been serving the San Mateo Area for over 8 years. Now, in our new location at 173 South Blvd, we offer group and individual Piano, Voice, Guitar, Flute and Violin lessons, once or twice a week. In addition to these type of lessons Scherzo Music Studio also offers: "Summer Lessons / Camp" for children 4 and up "Music Discovery" groups for children between 4 and 6.5 years old "Flexible Individual Lessons for Working Adults" who cannot commit to a weekly regular lesson "Musicianship" group for students taking private lessons or who are interested in music general knowledge "Practice Room Rentals" Numerous studies have shown that music is an important element in a child’s development. Music helps a child develop a higher level of concentration and analytical thinking and also increases his/hers self-esteem and social skills. Music lessons for adults help relieve the stress of everyday life and provides a way to constantly challenge brain and motor-skill functions. It is a fact that the sooner a student starts the greater the results at a short and long term; however, a individual of any age can take advantage of the benefits that music lessons provide. There is not a minimum, nor a maximum age to learn music. The only requirement to start music lessons is the desire to do it.
