At KMS we believe summer should be fun! And who knows more about how to have fun than kids! That’s why all campers at KMS day camps collectively join together to plan the kind of summer that excites them most. KMS CAMPS PUT KIDS IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT. Our experienced staff provide ideas, materials and guidance around each camp’s theme at morning meetings. The kids then collectively plan how they want the day to unfold.The focus is on fun, creative expression, personal choice, collaboration and exploration. In alignment with the KMS philosophy of the importance of learning through exploration and interaction, campers will go out in nature, in neighborhoods, in shops, etc. around San Francisco and explore the worlds around them as well as the worlds of their own creation. KMS 2012 Summer Camps will include the following choices: • De Colores Spanish Language Camp • Science - Chemistry and Newton’s Laws • Gardening - Woodworking - Environmental Art • Lego Building - Comic Book Making • Art - Ceramics - Film-making • Outdoor Sports • Calling All Writers • Drama • Cooking In 2012, there will be six 2-week sessions. SESSION 1: JUNE 18 – JUNE 29 SESSION 2: JULY 2 – JULY 13 (7/ 4 – OFF) SESSION 3: JULY 16 – JULY 27 SESSION 4: JULY 30 – AUGUST 10 SESSION 5: AUGUST 13 – AUGUST 24 AGES 5-11
