Crowden Music Center

The Crowden Music Center (CMC), a nonprofit organization, serves as a vital musical hub for the Bay Area with over 6,000 individuals attending classes, workshops, rehearsals, concerts, and other events each year. Music education is available to the entire community through our two divisions: Crowden Center for Music in the Community, offering lessons, classes, and camps for students of all ages, and The Crowden School, a unique day school for students in grades four through eight. We believe that the enjoyment and understanding of music and the development of skills to create and perform music enrich the quality of life, nourish the human spirit, and foster the growth of intellect, creativity, and character. Crowden Center for Music in the Community (CCMC) offers after school, weekend, and summer lessons and classes that meet the needs of a growing number of children and adults. An incomparable and vital community resource, CCMC greatly enriches the cultural life of the East Bay. Classes are held under the auspices of The Crowden Music Center, at our centrally located campus in Berkeley, California. Tuition is moderate and some financial aid is available to qualified students.
