We believe learning is one of the most satisfying and sublime human experiences; one that shouldn’t stop when school or “formal” education is over. Whether you are six or sixty, taking time to learn something new makes life richer.

By helping connect local students and instructors, we aim to inspire millions of casual learners to take a class and enrich their life.

For instructors—a free, easy-to-use platform to promote yourself.

We know it’s not always easy for local instructors to get the word out to potential students. One of our founders, and many of our friends, run small businesses. We know how challenging it can be to find time to market your services on top of the other demands on your time. Our goal is to help you reach potential students more effectively. Posting a profile on our site will always be free and easy.

For the rest of us—great tools to discover, share and compare classes.

Who can’t identify with the magic of that “Ah-ha” moment when something clicks and you’re able to do something you couldn’t do yesterday? Who hasn’t thought to themselves, “I wish I could paint; or play guitar, sail, surf, weld, cook, act, sculpt, write, or sew.”

We found out it’s harder than you would think to find a rich source of convenient, local classes. The more we talked to people—whether an adult wanting to learn how to cook Thai food, or a time-pressed parent looking for swim classes for their kids—the more we felt we could put some good into the world by building ClassMonkeys.
